Today was full of friends, old and new. Particularly after the ‘year of isolation’ all of this mingling feels delightful. Sanzari marina friends Dennis & Jane visited. We went to the Croton Gorge Park and saw this beautiful Dam, completed in 1906. According to THE HARTFORD COURANT, reporting on this ‘engineering wonder’ , “It’s also said to be the third largest hand-hewn structure in the world, trailing only the Great Pyramid of Giza and the Great Wall of China.“
At 5:30 we had ‘docktails’, a looper tradition where fellow loopers gather with our beverage and share war stories. 7 looper boats pulled in today, we had met 3 others yesterday. So glad we got to experience the looper hospitality on just our second night out. We ended the night with a Hudson River sunset.

Sounds as if you had a great day with old friends, and made new friends.

Meeting new people seemed like a unique experience. It’s been a long time since that has happened. 😀

You’ll have to show me how you set up this blog. This is a cool way to document your trip.
