This morning we cruised just under 3 hours up the Hudson to a very small marina chosen for its proximity to the Culinary Institute of America, as well as being on our route. The marina did not have many slips for boats our size so we are docked on the fuel dock/bulkhead, on the river. For those of you non-boaters, this matters because then you are subject to the wake of every boat going up or down the Hudson River in this area. It would not be something we would enjoy long term but it has charm in actually sitting on the river all day.
The Culinary Institute of America is a college campus in an upscale atmosphere with a creative twist. It had gardens, fountains and sculptures. Some of my favorite banners:
You would be lucky to go to school here. Our meals were excellent, the student staff were sincere in wanting to do a good job and the surroundings lovely.

Love the signs!
