We relaxed in Fort Edward today without moving the boat. We took the dinghy & the bikes for rides. Jim and I rode along the Champlain Canal Trailway. Quite lovely. The town has seen more vibrant days, but its’ town dock, history & trailway made it a good stop. There are many older towns like this all across the country. How do they keep or revive their charm? There are plenty of older communities all over Europe that fit the phrase, ‘you’re not getting older you’re getting better’.
